Spartans ambush Cowboys for 35-20 victory

ENQUIRER — Turpin's offensive versatility that carried the day for the Spartans as they topped second-ranked Wyoming 35-20. Spartans' senior quarterback Eric Martin was 10-for-15 for 143 yards and two touchdowns and senior running back Will Stocker gained 171 yards and scored a touchdown on 22 carries to lead Turpin.

Boys soccer takes first win, 2-1, over CovCath

Senior Jacob Antunes and freshman Trevor Thompson each had a goal for the Spartans as they knocked off Covington Catholic, 2-1, Tuesday for their first win of the season.

No. 4 Spartans take on No. 2 Wyoming Friday in battle

It will be a clash of the titans Friday when the No. 4 Turpin Spartans travel to No. 2 Wyoming in a Division II slugfest. Despite cruising to a 24-6 win over Loveland in its season opener, the Spartans dropped a spot in the city polls.
