The Turpin boys soccer team was two minutes away from letting their season-opener against Finneytown fall into the loss column, but Spartan junior Alex Rinner tied the game in the 78th minute to give Turpin a 2-2 tie.

The Turpin High School boys' soccer team will have six starters returning to the squad as the Spartans seek to repeat last year's success. The Spartans finished in first place of Fort Ancient Valley Conference Cardinal Division with an 11-5 record last season.
