Thank you Lady Spartans
Colerain proved to be a worthy adversary and deserving of their #3 ranking. Our Lady Spartans fought valiantly and to the end, but the final result was a 64-48 victory for the Cardinals and an end to the 2009-10 season for the very small, very young, but extremely talented Lady Spartans.
10-11 is the official record, I will remember 11-11, as CNE could not find time to make up the snowed out game. There were some highs this year; the team will be returning with 5 sophomores and 1 freshman who gained valuable experience during this season. We had 3 sophomores start 17 games or more. That is a lot to look forward to coming back. While we lose valuable leadership in the departing seniors and there is a great deal to improve upon as the Spartans begin a new challenge, in a new league, against tougher competition; these girls demonstrate a "never give up" attitude and always fight hard when they take the court With dedication and commitment to the team, next year's Spartans could be a very difficult team to beat. With 10 returning players with varsity experience, led by seniors Sam Perkinson and Marisa Giglio, our Lady Spartans are going to have to continue to improve on what this year's team started... We must find a way to compete and excel against the teams that will be bigger and stronger than us (that will be all of them) and we must accept this challenge without reservation.
GOOD LUCK this summer ladies. We cannot wait to have you back on the hardwood racking up victories in the NEW FAVC EAST
Winter
