Robert Berta: Coach, Football (1976 - 2001)

· Head Football Coach from 1976 until retirement in 2001.

· Coach of the Year in Southwest Ohio in 1976.

· Named Coach of the Year multiple times.

· Coach of East/West All Star Game.

· Led Turpin to first playoff appearance at the University of Dayton.

· Voted NFL Coach of the Week, honored by the Bengals and former NFL Coach Bill Walsh at Riverfront Stadium.

· Served as Turpin High School Athletic Director in 1982 & 1983 while coaching.

· Instrumental in the planning, fundraising and building of Spartan Stadium.

· Critical in fundraising, designing and building of current weight room facility.

· Encouraged the organization of the Football Mom’s club and Football Yard Signs.

· Had double-digit Division I Scholarship Athletes, including an All American. Two players went on to play in the NFL with 8 Players named to All Ohio.

Andy Cruse: Class of 2008

· 3 year varsity starter in football and basketball and team captain.

· 2nd Team FAVC (10); 1st Team FAVC (11/12).

· FAVC Co-Athlete of the Year (12).

· All Conference, All City and All State with 130 catches for 2652 yards and 33 Touchdowns (12).

· Leads all records in receiving categories for Turpin Receivers.

· In Basketball he was 1st Team FAVC from 2006-2008 and lead the Spartans to one of their two League Championships in school history. Career of 11.4 points and over 7 rebounds per game.

· Received scholarship to Miami University where he was a 4 year letterman, captain his senior season and was 3rd Team in the MAC his senior year.

· Recipient of the M Strong Award his senior year.

Kristen Frooman - Class of 2007

  • 4 time State Qualifier in gymnastics.
  • 2007 qualified for State in 3 events (Vault, Bar and All Around). 2nd in Districts on Bars, 3rd on Vault and 5th All Around. State 15th on Bars and 19th in All Around.
  • 2006 qualified for State in 3 events (Vault, Floor and All Around). 3rd place Districts in Floor and 6th in Vault and All Around. Team Finals 6th place.
  • 2005 qualified for State in 4 events (bars, beam, floor and all around). Districts 2nd in beam, 3rd in All Around, 4th in Bars and 6th in Floor. 21st All Around at State. Team finished 5th at State.
  • 2004 qualified for State in 4 events (Vault, Beam, Floor and All Around). District All Around and Beam Champion. 13th place Beam at state. Led team to State Team Tournament.
