The first individual rounds started and you could feel the energy.  Co-Captain Ethan Lupariello couldn’t miss and bowled a 256.  Colton Ziegler was having almost equal success and bowled a 235.  Drake Scallon had a better than average 218.  David Wehrman also beat his average and put up a 194.  Elijah “Sparky” MacKenzie was more than 40 pins better than his average slamming out a 189.  This totaled the #1 Individual’s total score for a round in Turpin history at 1092.

The momentum carried into the second round….David was top dog with a 245…Drake was a close second with 231….Ethan followed up nicely with a 214…Colton had a solid 201 and Sparky rounded out with a 148.  This round…they totaled the 4th highest individual round total score in Turpin history with a 1039. Clinching 2131 pins in the individual round’s alone…they headed into the Baker’s round.

The first game was a MONSTER!!!!! 269….269 happens to be the #1 Single Baker’s Game in Turpin history…this team beat out their previous record by 5 pins.  The second game was equally as incredible with a 246.  The third game a 233 and the fourth was a 190….when the cheers died down and the audience ceased applauding….this team had totaled 938 in the Baker’s round…..destroying the previous record by 127 to be the #1 Baker’s Round total in Turpin history.

When everything was tabulated…David, Sparky, Drake, Ethan, Colton and Kaden had done what they had been chasing for two seasons.  The previous Turpin record for a total match was 2680 set on 12/13/2017….that record…was obliterated….because today…1/12/2021….the Turpin Spartans totaled 3069 for the match.

“I’m really feelin it today.”….an expression….a catalyst….that’s all it took for this team to show just how great it is to everyone…including themselves…10 more opportunities this season to see if they can outdo themselves…
