Boys Golf

The boys golf team had themselves a day on the course at sectionals on Wednesday at the City of Mason Golf Center (formerly known as the Grizzly). They fired out a 302 to qualify for districts as a team for the first time since 2001. It is well known in high school golf that our sectional is the hardest to get out of in southwest Ohio. The boys played tremendously and brought in their lowest 18 hole round all season. They shot a team record 139 on the front nine.  They were led by junior Alex Meyer with a 74, followed by freshmen standout Alex Rollman with 75. Alex birdied 5 of his first 6 holes to start out on fire. Senior Ben McGrew, who went one under on the front nine, brought in a strong 76 followed by senior Scottie Nimmo with a smooth 77 and senior Matt Kissel brought in a solid 81. They will play in districts on Thursday at Beavercreek Golf Club.
