Emily Kaminski for the kill against Lebanon Warriors

Following a tough loss on Saturday to the Seton Saints, the Freshman Volleyball team came out strong against Lebanon, taking the match in two sets.

Ava Nickerson and Ella Thuman’s powerful serving took the team to an early lead in game one.  Strong defense by libero, Isabel Fahrenkamp, and blocks by Anahit Semerdjin and Delaney Pearson, kept the team on the offensive.  Two kills byTori Guy finished game one, with Turpin winning, 25-18.
Game two was full of powerful hitting by Emily Kaminsky and Kate Speelman, combining for 6 kills. Coupled with Jacqueline Ramsey’s defense on the floor, Turpin proved to be too much for the Warriors. Turpin won game two, 25-15.
Next up, Turpin vs Anderson at home, 8/27, at 4:30.  Let’s go Spartans!
