Gabe Hickman breaks Turpin record in the shot put!!!

What a way to start a Spring Break!  With some key members already on vacation, our boys took on 17 other teams in Saturday's La Salle Legends Classic and came away with a 4th place finish just 9 points behind the meet winner Cov. Cath.  To say we're pleased with our first meet in 2 years is an understatement.  Point winners for us were:

Our 4x800m relay team of Hayden Jump, Shane Barrett, Luke Carter and Leo Mink(5th place)
In the 110 hurdles - Donovan Hice (3rd) and Ethan Clifford (8th)
In the 1600 - Jack Bentley (1st) and Noah Yamaguchi (8th)
In the 800m - Cooper Davidson (1st)
In the 3200m - William Dewey (6th) and Cole Weaver (7th)
Our 4x400m relay team of Cooper Davidson, Bennet Sells, Donovan Hice and Jack Bentley (3rd)
In the shot put - Gabe Hickman (1st with a put of 62'10" which is a new school record as well as a record at LaSalle's track and is approaching the city record) and Gabe Asbury (5th)
In the discus throw - Gabe Hickman (2nd) and Mitchell Knarr (4th)
In the pole vault - Alex Grote (2nd) and Ethan Lupariello (6th)

We beat three other ECC teams (Winton Woods, AHS, and Walnut Hills) at this meet and now have a record of 15-3 for the season.  Again, a nice start.
