JV Football Soars Above Eagles

With a crisp fall chill in the air, your JV football Spartans closed out the season with a road trip to the hostile bird cage of Milford on Saturday. Parents and players dressed for the frozen tundra served as the only deviation this week, as Spartan domination continued with a convincing win over the Eagles.

The pregame cold air apparently deflated some footballs, as each quarterback threw an interception on their first drives of the game. This was the only stalemate point of the game though, as the Spartans quickly raced out to a 18-6 lead and never looked back. Turpin added two more touchdowns in the second half and extended the lead to the final score of 30-12 to close out the season with a strong 9-1 record.

This JV football season was extremely fun to cover as the web reporter. All the young men played hard and truly represented the Spartan brotherhood. Kudos to all their dedication, hard work, and embracing the grind of the long football season. And, a huge thanks to the entire top-notch varsity and J coaching staff showing them the way and pushing them to the next level.

The future of Turpin football is indeed bright, but all focus now is on the present opportunity for Spartan Nation this week. All hands on deck for Playoff Week #1....Go Spartans!!!
