JV Volleyball Update!
Just like every business these days, a staffing shortage has limited article production from the Turpin JV
web journalism team. Four weeks passing between updates on the future of Spartan volleyball certainly
tested the patience of even our most loyal readers. Fortunately, a strong stretch of solid volleyball and
back-to-back Bengal wins helped distract the fanbase and fill the void.
A huge buzzkill with JV sports is nobody keeps any standings! Never fear though, as major
improvements in team chemistry, energy, and court intensity helped fuel a sizzling string of 6 wins in 7
games for your JV Volleyball Spartans. Relatively easy victories over the Little U, Kings, Walnut, the
Dinosaurs, and the Westsiders of Clermont teed up the anticipated showdown at Milford. After
dropping the first set, the young Spartans rallied, stole the final 2 sets from the Bird Cage, and avenged
their early season loss to the Eagles.
With the final week incredibly upon us already, Coach Armbruster’s squad of Starbuck’s lovers proudly
sports an impressive 11-4 season record. Postseason JV tournaments never gain any traction, so enjoy
this final week, as Loveland, Lebanon, Kings, and Mason serve as your Spartans’ remaining victims to
wrap up the JV volleyball season.
