Headed into the final two weeks of the season the lady Spartans needed to sweep their final 4 conference games to secure a championship. Reaching their preseason goal would not be easy with games against league rivals Loveland and Milford on back to back nights. Despite losing starting freshman Riley Duermit to injury before their big week, the girls battled hard to beat the Tigers in 3 sets. The lady Spartans had 27 kills and a season high 11 blocks. The team also contributed 8 aces, which included 4 from sophomore Madelynn Waters and the match winner from sophomore Emma Hamilton. 24 hours later the ladies were back on the court against the Eagles. They were able to avenge an early season loss on the back of great all around play which led to 31 kills in two sets!

Now in first place, the lady Spartans cruised past Little Miami and Winton woods to clinch the league title. They finished their season on Saturday with a 3 set win against out of conference power Mason.

Amazingly, and thankfully, the girls were able to play all 22 of their games and finished with an overall record of 17-5 and 14-2 in conference. Hats off to coach Amy Peveler and the rest of the Turpin coaching staff on a great season. The future of Turpin volleyball continues to look bright!
