The Spartans kept their ECC title hopes alive with a 47-33 win over the visiting Milford Eagles. Turpin raced out to an early 8-0 lead en route to the victory! Brady Hardewig hit back to back 3 point baskets as well as a step back long 2 off the bounce to lead the charge. Dom Cantrella was also hot early with a long two point basket and a sweet pull up jumper. Theisen Lee hit a 3 point basket before the end of the 1st quarter to extend the Spartan lead to 15-8.
Milford opened the 2nd quarter with an 8-0 run of their own to take the lead 16-15. Lee then drove strong to the basket for 2 to reclaim the lead for Turpin 18-16. Cantrella hit a 3 point basket before halftime to give the Spartans a 22-18 lead at intermission.
Ethan Zinn opened up the 2nd half with a 3 point basket to build the lead to 25-18. Cantrella and Hardewig made 2 free throws each to stretch the lead to 29-20. Jack Selfridge then scored off an assist from Hardewig followed by a 3 point basket from Matt Sheffer as Turpin led 34-24 at the end of 3 quarters.
Theisen Lee opened the 4th quarter with a tough pull up jumper and then dished out an assist to Zinn for a lay up. Zinn then hit a 3 point basket to stretch the Spartan lead to 41-28. Turpin closed out the Eagles with free throws to seal the victory 47-33.
Theisen Lee led the Spartan attack with 12 points. Brady Hardewig scored 10 points. Dom Cantrella added 9 points while Ethan Zinn chipped in 8 points.
