The Tigers quickly took over the lead and went into the second quarter with a lead of 14 to 6. In the second quarter, the Tigers gained upon their lead and went into the break leading by a score of 33-17. The second half started with a three-pointer by the Tigers but Rachel Reichard answered on the opposite end a few minutes later with a three-pointer of her own. The Spartans attempted 11 shots during the third quarter but were only able to get 4 to fall, leading them into the final quarter trailing by a score of 51-28. In the final quarter, the Spartans gave one final push to catch the Tigers, scoring 10 points and putting up a strong defensive effort, but it would prove to be not enough. The Spartans fell to the Tigers 60-38. Cecelia Hilgefort led the team with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Rachel Reichard (8 points, 4 rebounds) and Haley Richardson (3 points) also added to the team's total.
