Turpin Swimming Starts Season Strong

Turpin Swim team made a huge splash to start their 2019-2020 season. Thursday, Dec. 5th they towered over Lakota East and Lakota West. Standout performances:Taylor Black and Kylie Howard earned- 4 W’s and Scottie Nimmo finishes 100 Fly and 500 Free in style and grace. The cheering and enthusiasm on pool deck were unwavering.   

Saturday, Dec. 7th Turpin dominated Anderson and West Clermont with many 1st/2nd place finishes. The most EPIC finish was the “almost” twin tie of Ethan Kueper (29.08) then Cole Kueper (29.11) in the 50 Backstroke.  Other 1-2 Finishes were: Tim Blankenship (1:00.54)/ Ethan Kueper (1:01.69) in the 100 IM; Madison Sweeney/Grace Lyons in 100 Back; Girls 200 Free Relay -Allie Boberschmidt, Meg Cosgrove, Hanah Aman,Sarah Bachman / Sydney Aquilia, Grace Lyons, Emily Wang, and Jenna Daoud 3 seconds behind).  Taylor Black/Madison Sweeney-50 Fly; Tim Blankenship/Henry Carnevale-50 Fly and Jack Bachman/Connor Black-100 Back.  

A HUGE 10 second time drop was seen by Jack Nikolai in the 100 IM; Jack Bachman dropped 5 seconds in the 100 Fly and 100 Back; Scottie Nimmo dropped 5 his 100 Free.  The final 400 Free Relay of Blankenship, E.Kueper, Henry Carnevale, C.Kueper won by over 17 seconds. This many standout swims certainly shows the depth of the Spartan Swimmers.  We are looking forward to a very WINNING SEASON! Go Spartans!
